CSIR-NEIST celebrates National Science Day

Imphal, February 28 2025: CSIR-North East Institute of Science & Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Imphal in collaboration with NG Mani College, Khurai Chairenthong, celebrated the National Science Day-2025 under the theme "Empowering Indian youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Vikshit Bharat", on Friday.

As a part of the celebration a scientist-faculty-student interface programme was organised wherein 50 BSc students, 12 faculty members of NG Mani College including its principal Dr W Jibankumar Singh, participated.

During the interface, CSIR-NEIST, branch laboratory chief scientist professor Huidrom Birkumar Singh demonstrated technologies of the CSIR-NEIST mainly based on bio-resources and traditional fabrics of Manipur while also highlighting the potential for entrepreneurship venture.

Stating that India is developing very fast in science, technology and innovation, all vital in achieving the government's goal for a developed nation by the year 2047, he stressed the need for students, teachers and researchers to contribute their might in realisation of the objective.
