Pressed Governor to expedite pending works in Kakching: MLA

Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar disclosed that he met Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and pressed for expediting sanctioned but pending developmental works in Kakching assembly constituency.
Speaking to media person on Wednesday on the sidelines of assessing work progress of the paver block road at Kakching Makha Lou Royal Enfield Pareng, Rameshwar informed that he requested the Governor to initiate relevant process for implementation of projects sanctioned in areas under Kakching assembly constituency such as the Rs 29 crore water supply project for Kakching Municipal area under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT)-2 Scheme, blacktopping of the Kakching to Tekcham road via Irengband under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojna (PMGSY) and repairing of the Sora Bazar to Yaithibi Loukol stretch of NH 102 (Imphal-Moreh road) at the cost of Rs 5.5 crore under Ministry of Road and Surface Transport Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF).
He also confided about receiving inputs that the central government will soon sanction Rs 100 crore for development of Mayai Lambi road (Kakching Lamkhai-Wabagai Lamkhai-Mayang Imphal-Wahengbam Leikai), and tender floated within 10 to 15 days.
The MLA also assured that laying of paver block road at the Royal Enfield Pareng will be completed in 4/5 days.
