Imphal, September 30 2024: Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and Manipuri Literary Society, Imphal jointly organised a symposium on the theme 'Reflections of social movement in Manipuri literature' at the auditorium of Directorate of Information and Public Relations, here, on Monday.

According to Manipuri Literary Society, the inaugural programme was attended by Sahitya Akademi, Kolkata office in-charge Kshetrabashi Naik, Sahitya Akademi, Manipuri advisory board convenor Prof Rajen Toijamba, and Manipuri Literature Society, Imphal president Naorem Lokeshwore Singh among others.

In the first session of the symposium moderated by Prof Polem Nabachandra, Dr Mangangcha Thoudam Achou, Dr Sanajaoba Narengbam and Keisham Rani Devi presented their papers while Dr Heikrujam Roybala, Dr Mayanglambam Sadananda Singh and Dr Khangjrakpam Goura chandra Singh presented their papers in the second session moderated by Prof Lanchenba Meetei.
