Bajpai visits CCpur, distributes tools to JFMCs, VDVKs

Churachandpur, June 28 2025:
Principal chief conservator of forests and head of forest force (PCCF & HoFF) Anurag Bajpai, who also serves as additional chief secretary (TCI/TA & Hills), visited Churachandpur on Saturday and distributed various tools and equipment to members of Joint Forest Management Committees (JFMCs) and Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) at Synod Hall, IB Road.
Items distributed during the event included sewing machines, beekeeping boxes, tables, volleyballs, nets, footballs, and tent sets.
Additionally, glass jars were provided to villages where VDVKs have been established.
JFMCs have been formed in 11 villages - namely Bongbal, S Phaiza, Kullian.
Hiangdung, M Tanglian, Panglian, B Tuallian, MT Geltam, N Khonom, L Phaimol, and Lamzang - which were among the beneficiaries of the distribution.
In his address, Anurag Bajpai underscored the importance of self-reliance and leading a life of dignity, while observing that there remains considerable scope for improvement in the area, based on his visit and interactions with locals.
Reaffirming his commitment to the socio-economic development of the district, Bajpai stated that efforts will be made to improve educational opportunities for children and uplift the livelihoods of local residents.
He explained that his visit aimed to explore sustainable ways to enhance income for the people of Churachandpur.
Highlighting ongoing initiatives, the PCCF & HoFF noted that T1 out of the 89 villages in Churachandpur district have already established VDVKs and highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to set up Common Facility Centres (CFCs) to support income generation and entrepreneurial activities.
Bajpai further stressed the need to strengthen infrastructure in the region and underscored the vital role of the Autonomous District Council (ADC) in facilitating these efforts.
Regarding educational development, he informed that two Eklavya Model Residential Schools are currently under construction at Mata Mualtam and Singngat, which are expected to be completed within the current financial year.
Once operational, the schools will offer free education to children from Class VI onwards.
Bajpai added that students completing Class V from ADC schools would be eligible for admission to these Eklavya schools, ensuring continuity in quality education.
