SAA child resident not visited by anyone since 2022

Imphal, February 21 2025: Social Welfare Department's District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Imphal East informed that a girl child named Premika alias Munshi, aged about 6 years has been staying at the Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA) of the Department at Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal since 2022 and has not been visited by her parents or relatives.

In a release, DCPU protection officer Hidangmayum Eliza said that the child has been in the SAA as per the order of the Child Welfare Committee, Imphal East.

The matter has been reported to Porompat police station which registered a GD entry on February 10, 2025.Any person/persons who can provide the identity of the said child may come to claim her from the office of SAA, Imphal East by furnishing documents of proof of identity and relationship with the child or contact SAA Imphal East (9856863953), DCPU PO (NIC) (7085247502), CWC Imphal East (8787564077) or Childline (1098) within 60 days, she added.
