Demise of Khoibi Salam condoled

Manipur Amateur Karate-Do Association (MAKA) has condoled the untimely demise of Manipur's first 'Black Belt' holder and MAKA founder chairman Khoibi Salam on Saturday.
In a release, MAKA general secretary Mutum Bankim Singh informed that a team of the Association visited Khoibi's residence on Sunday and expressed heartfelt condolences to his family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Khoibi Salam was born to S Birchandra Singh and S (o) Bidumuklhi Devi at Sagolband Sayang Kurao Makhong on February 8, 1952.He was the first 'Black Belt' holder of Manipur in the year 1980, founder of All Manipur Shotokan Karate Association, founder member of Manipur Un-Armed Martial Arts Association (MUMAA), former general secretary & president of Manipur Amateur Boxing Association (MABA), treasurer of Manipur Olympic Association during the 5th National Games at Imphal, former chief instructor of All Manipur Judo and Karate Association Karate Unit and retired additional chief town planner, it added.
