Thoubal, April 04 2025: Women activists of Charangpat Apunba Meira Paibi partially blocked the inter-village road passing through Charangpat under Wangkhem assembly constituency in Thoubal district on Friday to protest the government's continued failure to repair the road, which has severely affected the local community and students.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the protest, meira paibi activist Manglembi claimed that work order for repairing the inter village road has been notified, but the repair work is yet to start as the tender process has been put on hold.

As a result, the residents of Pengi, Icham Khunou, Lourembam, Nongpok Sekmai, and Lanmeithet continue to face numerous difficulties.

She also urged the Governor to reissue the tender and initiate the repair work as soon as possible.
