Relief camp residents stage sit-in

Imphal, May 19 2024: Residents of the relief camp set up Hiyangthang Kamakhya Pemton (KP) College on Sunday staged sit-in protest at the camp premises, urging the state government to look into the condition of camp resident S Dhanabir Meitei, who was shot at and injured by unidentified armed persons on May 3.Speaking to news persons on the sidelines of the sit-in, one of the residents informed that Dhanabir, who had been displaced due to the conflict, is currently undergoing treatment at Raj Medicity after being shot.

As such, the resident urged the state government to look into the condition of Dhanabir and also help in investigating the incident at the earliest.
