Bishnupur, May 11 2024: Representatives of the Supreme Court Appointed Relief and Rehabilitation Committee on Saturday interacted with the inmates of the relief camp opened at Old Mini Secretariat Complex near Loukoipat in Bishnupur district.

During the interaction, representatives of the Committee Nevidita Haran and Sunita Premchander assured the IDPs that the committee will act as a bridge between the IDPs and the government so as to take up further necessary relief and rehabilitation measures.

Bishnupur DC Lourembam Bikra Singh, who was also present at the occasion, said the authority is preparing to provide sewing machines to the IDPs.

Stating that the needs of IDP students admitted to government schools are being provided by the government, he also revealed that talks are underway to provide necessary aid to the IDP students in private schools as well.

Moreover, the authority has furnished 400 semi pucca rooms for the IDPs at Phubala and Saiton in Bushnupur district, he added.
