All Kha-Kanglei Students' Union (AKKSU), Kakching information and publicity secretary Salam Sonia Chanu has stated that state government's 'School Fagathansi Mission' is yet to cover government schools in remote villages.

Regardless of such a pitiable condition, the villagers have firm resolve to ensure continuity of education which is evident from a local women's group Punshi Lamjing Meira Village Level Federation pooling in money and hiring three teachers to keep the school operational.
As such, Sonia urged the government to look into the matter and ensure that the village students receive proper education.
Claiming to have proof of a student organisation extracting money and rice allotted under the mid-day meal scheme under the garb of penalty for wrongdoing by the school authority, she advised the organisation concerned to review its stand least particulars of the students' body as well as the people involved would be made public.
On the other hand, Punshi Lamjing Meira Village Level Federation member Elangbam Bilasini recounted that the school was on the brink of extinction sometime back, but prevented from facing embarrassing situation owing to concerted efforts by parents.
She further appealed to the department concerned to implement government's 'School Fagathansi Mission' in the said school also, so that the absence of basic infrastructure and teachers could be addressed.
