Imphal, December 27 2024: Unknown miscreants placed a hand grenade at the front gate of the residence of Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute & Research Centre, Porompat director/CEO Dr Gulamjat Singh Moirangthem, Chingmeirong Maning Leikai Nepali Basti under Lamphel police station on Friday around 5.30 am .

According to a police report, the grenade was found inside a bag, which was hanged on the gate.

The police were immediately informed and a team arrived at the location.

The team then safely retrieved the grenade at around 6.40 am .

The bag also contained a letter inscribed "KCP PWG last warning" .

Lamphel PS has registered a case in this regard.
