10K students appear Meetei Mayek exam

Imphal, July 14 2024: Around 10,000 students from the valley districts including Jiribam took part in the Meetei Mayek proficiency examination organised by Meetei Erol Eyelk Loinasillol Apunba Lup (MEELAL), Kang leipak conducted on Sunday in 38 centres.

In a release, MEELAL inform ed that students staying in relief camps a nd orphanages were allowed to compete: for free as MEELAL president Kh Ingocha inspected the examination centres in Thoubal and Kakching districts.

The result of the examination will be declared on July 15 via electronic and print media.

The top three winners in six categories will receive citations and cash prizes of Rs 7000, Rs 6000 and Rs 5000 respectively, while 15 students from each category would be presented consolation prize of Rs 1000.The prizes would be distributed on occasion of the 22nd foundation day celebration of MEELAL on July 18 .
