KCP confirms process to hold peace talks

Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) MC Unification has announced that five KCP factions decided to begin peace talks with the government in view of the prevailing situation and to work together with the people for protecting the territorial integrity and saving the land, culture, tradition and religion of people of Manipur.
According to a KCP (PWG) MC Unification statement issued by its PRO Chingkheinganba, the five KCP factions namely KCP Poirei, KCP Taibanganba, KCP Paokhomba, KCP Khoirangba and the outfit decided to return to normal life and chalk out policy and programmes commensurate with the time in close coordination with the people to strengthen the revolutionary movement.
Accordingly, the five decided to hold talks with the government but there is question of surrendering arms.
While holding peace talks with the state and central governments, the five will continue to maintain revolutionary ethics and will not take any step which would affect other revolutionary groups, the statement said, adding that suggestions from intellectuals and the people will be sought from time to time.
