Kakching/Thoubal, September 30 2024: As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 fortnight campaign organised by Kakching Municipal Council since September 17, a cleanliness drive was carried out at Kakching Market on Monday.

The drive, jointly organised by the Municipal Council, Kakching Keithel Apunba Ima Lup and the Kakching Bazar Business Welfare Association, was led by Naorem Sanjitkumar, the caretaker chairperson of the Kakching Municipal Council.

As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 initiative, a health check-up camp for the sanitary workers of the Council will be held at its office.

On the last day of the campaign, government scheme cards, PPE kits and safety gear will be distributed to the Safai Mitra (sanitation workers) .

Meanwhile, Thoubal Municipal Council (TMC) conducted a cleanliness drive at the Khongjom War Memorial Site on Monday, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign and in celebration of the birth anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irabot.
