Delhi police summon KSO Delhi-NCR chief

Delhi Police summoned Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Delhi-NCR president Paojakhup Guite to appear for questioning in connection with investigation into an FIR registered at Kartavya Path police station on March 9, 2025, under Section 223(a) of the BNS.
BNS Sec 223 deals with disobedience of order promulgated by public servant, while sub-section (a) states that if such disobedience causes or tends to cause obstruction, annoyance or injury, or risk of obstruction, to any persons lawfully employed, be punished with simple imprisonment for six months or fine of Rs 2500, or both.
The notice stated that reasonable grounds exist to question Guite to ascertain facts and circumstances related to the case.
He was directed to appear at Kartavya Path PS, New Delhi on Monday, and comply with conditions such as cooperating with the investigation, disclosing all relevant facts, ensuring no tampering with evidence, and not to make any threat, inducement, or promise to any person acquainted with the fact of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing.
The notice warned that failure to comply may lead to arrest.
