Education Fair underway in Imphal

The 18th Education Fair, a three-day event organised by NEEC Education Trust, is underway at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, here.
Over 40 universities and colleges are participating in the fair, which began from Friday, and several students and parents are visiting the education fair.
Interacting with media at the event venue, NEEC Education Trust counsellor Merina Sinam said that the event is organised with the objective of providing students an opportunity to interact and create an environment of learning, sharing, achieving and empowering so that they are successful in whichever career they pursue.
Past editions of the fair had witnessed success in providing useful information and guidance to several students and their parents, she said while urging the people of the state to take full benefits of the fair.
She also informed that the trust will organise a one-day special fair at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai multipurpose indoor stadium on Monday to extend the benefits of the fair to students, who could not visit the fair in Imphal.
Prining Chodang, a student from Ukhrul district, who got benefit from the fair, told The People's Chronicle that he came to participate in the state level English competition being organised as part of the fair.
Many students are at a loss when they think about their future career after passing Higher Secondary Education, the student said and expressed belief that the fair will be able to clear many doubts and provide a clear career strategy to many such students.
