AR organises blood camp, distributes sports items

Imphal, April 10 2025:
Assam Rifles in collaboration with RIMS, Imphal, organised a blood donation camp at General Dwivedi Block, Pallel Garrison on Thursday.
What made the occasion truly remarkable was the fact that donors from all walks of life and diverse communities, torn apart by conflict and tragedy, participated in the camp.
With enthusiastic participation, 50 locals of all the communities and troops of AR and Kakching district commando personnel donated blood to support local healthcare.
Speaking at the event, senior Assam Rifles officials stressed that there can be no greater symbol of reconciliation than, when all communities stand side by side to give the gift of life.
One of the officers said, "Pallel today stands as a promise that people are capable of coming together.
AR is proud to walk this path with them, supporting every step towards peace, public welfare, and harmony".
In a release PRO IGAR (S) emphasised that the initiative not only bolstered critical medical preparedness but also sent a powerful message across Manipur that compassion and courage can heal even the deepest wounds.
The citizens of Pallel have once again shown that unity is possible and that the spirit of humanity can overcome the deepest divides, added the PRO.
Meanwhile, AR distributed sports equipment to United College and SEMCO College in Chandel district on Thursday.
According to the PRO, the items distributed in the presence of 200 students included footballs, volleyballs, nets and other essential gear to support the upcoming inter-college sports events.
