Noney, October 09 2024: A one-day awareness camp cum distribution of assistance to persons with disabilities (PwDs) under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana was held on Wednesday at Longmai Part-3 multipurpose hall, Noney district.

Hill Areas Committee chairman Dinganglung Gangmei attended the event as chief guest, with Noney CMO Dr Zianthuilung Kamei, and DSWO Singupngam Thaimei taking part as guest of honour and functional president respectively.

More than 110 appliances including tricycles, walking sticks, knee braces, spinal supports, and hearing aids were distributed to persons with disabilities and BPL families.

Meijiangam Gonmei, president IMPACT, other officials and CSO leaders were also in attendance at the event, which was organised by Composite Regional Centre, SRE, Takyel under administrative control of SVNIRTAR, Cuttack and PMDK, Imphal under Ministry of Social-Justice and Empowerment, in collaboration with Integrated Mission Project Action for Community Transformation (IMPACT) .
