RIMS launches Swachhata Pakhwada, 2025

Imphal, April 01 2025: Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, launched Swachhata Pakhwada 2025, a dedicated 'cleanliness drive from April 1 to 15 under the theme, "Swachhata is Everyone's Business" .

In a release, RIMS media cell informed that the inaugural event was held at RIMS Sushruta hall, on Tuesday, where Swachhata pledge was administered by director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma.

The event emphasised the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in ensuring a healthier environment for all.

Swachhata Pakhwada, 2025 aims to instil a culture of cleanliness and sanitation among students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Throughout the fortnight, various activities, including cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, and educational programmes, will be conducted to reinforce the message of hygiene and environmental responsibility.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sunil highlighted the significance of collective efforts in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, while urging everyone to actively participate in the initiative.

The event had the participation of faculty members, students, and staff, reaffirming RIMS' commitment to promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.

Guided by the Ministry's vision, the initiative reaffirms collective responsibility to foster a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for all, it added.
