Association demands special DPC result

Imphal, August 08 2025: Association of Contractual Staff of ICDS Mission-2016 Batch has demanded authorities concerned to declare result of the special DPC conducted on November 2021 for contractual staff of Social Welfare Department under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Poshan Abhiyan.

A sit-in protest against non-declaration of special DPC and non-release of honorarium was staged at Keishampat Lei-majam Leikai community hall on Thursday.

Speaking on the sidelines, Association's general secretary Maibam Romeshchandra, demanded performance-based honorarium for the 133 candidates who participated in the special DPC and served as contractual staff under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Mission from 2016 to November 2017.He stated that after annulling contract of the 133 staff by the department, a recruitment notice was issued in January 2019 for new contractual staffers under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Poshan Abhiyan, and Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), all part of the ICDS Mission.

In response, the contractual staffers filed a petition in the High Court challenging the notice followed by the court directing the department to conduct special DPC in 2020 .

However, instead of declaring the results of that DPC, the department issued a cancellation notice and conducted a second special DPC in 2021.This, too, was cancelled, and yet another special DPC held in 2022 with the results kept pending.

Urging the authorities to release the Special DPC results without further delay, Romeshchandra warned that the association will launch protest if their demands are not met.
