Raj Bhavan celebrates Bihar, Rajasthan, Odisha Day

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Tuesday attended the foundation day commemorations of Bihar, Rajasthan, and Odisha at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, here.
The event was organised as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the three states.
Commemorative messages from the Governors of Bihar, Rajasthan, and Odisha, also highlighted the deep cultural and historical ties, said a Raj Bhavan release.
Students of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Manipur, and Indian Institute of Information Tech nology (HIT), Manipur, showcased cultural performances reflecting the diverse traditions of Bihar, Rajasthan and Odisha.
Speaking at the event, the Governor highlighted the significance of national integration and noted that the central Universities in Manipur play a crucial role since they attract students from across the country.
He explained how this exchange provides students from other states an opportunity to experience Manipur's rich cultural heritage and history.
Ajay Bhalla also encouraged the students to be ambassadors of Manipur and to highlight its rich historical and cultural heritage when they travel outside the state.
He also highlighted the various student exchange programmes that promote cross-cultural understanding and help strengthen inter-state bonds.
Later, the Governor interacted with the students.
Chief secretary PK Singh, secretary to governor Sumant Singh, and other senior officials attended the event.
