AdtU celebrates recognition of faculty members

Assam Down Town University (AdtU) felicitated two of its distinguished faculty members, professor and dean of Pharmaceutical Science Dr Saikat Sen, and professor and dean of engineering Dr TVVL N Rao, who have ranked among the world's top 2 per cent scientists in the Stanford University's 2024 ranking, published by Elsevier.
The ranking, released by Elsevier, highlights their significant contributions to research and academic excellence.
In a statement, AdtU said that Dr Sen and Dr Rao's recognition is a testimony to their outstanding dedication to innovation and knowledge creation in their respective fields as their work not only advances scientific research but also reinforces AdtU s commitment to fostering a strong research culture.
"We are incredibly proud of Dr Saikat Sen and Dr TV VLN Rao for this well-deserved global recognition," said AdtU chancellor Dr NN Dutta, and called the achievement a major milestone for the university, underscoring its dedication to academic excellence and groundbreaking research.
The Stanford University ranking evaluates scientists based on various metrics, including research citations and overall impact, placing Dr Sen and Dr Rao among a select group of global scholars.
This achievement reflects AdtU's ongoing-support for its faculty in addressing contemporary challenges through research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge worldwide, the statement added.
