CM urged to revoke transfer order of Ukhrul DC

Ukhrul, January 29 2025:
Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) and its frontal organisations have urged chief minister N Biren Singh to immediately revoke the transfer order of Ukhrul DC Zuringla Kengoo in public interest.
"There is a huge public pressure building up in favour of immediate cancellation of Zuringla Kengoo's transfer order," stated TNL president Sword Vashum, TNAL president Tennyson Kashung, TSL president Thingreiphi Lungharwoshi, TKS president Ramreichan Keishing and TMNL president in-charge Ringphapam Kasar in a letter submitted to CM Biren on Wednesday.
The letter continued: "Having felt the pulse of the people on the ground, it is our fervent and humble request that the transfer order of Zuringla Kengoo, IAS be cancelled and that she be retained for at least two more years" .
The bodies further apprised the CM of Kengoo's outstanding public service and leadership as deputy commissioner, citing her humane and no-nonsense approach and disposition of her public and official responsibilities.
"We may even vouch for the truth that the public of Ukhrul district have been favoured with a highly effective and efficient Deputy Commissioner in the person of Zuringla-Kengoo," the letter added.
Meanwhile, the frontal organisations under the aegis of TNL have planned public demonstrations against the transfer order of DC Kengoo to be held simultaneously in front of the DC's official quarters and district Mini-secretariat in Ukhrul district headquarters at 8 am on Thursday.
