Imphal, September 14 2023:
International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) celebrated its 26th Foundation Day at Manipur Press Club, here, on Thursday with its president Tourangbam Birjit, advisor Kh Luwang Chingkhei and UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam attending aS presidium members.
In his speech at the event organised in subdued manner due to the ongoing conflict, Birjit said that the government seems still unaware of how and why Chin-Kuki Narco-Terrorists are waging the war.
It also seems the government lacks efforts to bring an end to the present conflict.
While the people displaced by the ongoing conflict continue to live under distress at the relief camps, the government is yet to take up any significant step to bring back normalcy and this indeed is very unfortunate, he said.
In his key note address, IPSA general secretary W Guneshwar informed that the orgsnisation was formed with the main objective of protecting human rights and bringing an egalitarian society on September 14, 1997 though the organisation started humanitarian services in raw forms from September 14, 1993 .
