Representatives of IDPs meet Chief Minister

Imphal, December 27 2024: Representing internally displaced persons (IDPs), Meetei Council, Moreh and Meetei Society, Churachandpur met chief minister N Biren and discussed problems faced by them.

A release jointly issued by MCM secretary L Brojendro Meetei and Meetei Society, Churachandpur secretary N Romesh Singh informed that during the meeting the CM promptly contacted deputy commissioners (DCs), Education director and commissioner (home) to attend the same for discussing inconveniences faced by the IDPs.

While lauding chief minister for according importance to their grievances, the release conveyed about the CM assuring to set up a dedicated cell in relief camps and office of the DCs concerned for creating health cards and other essential documents for those in need.

The meeting also minutely discussed about education Ofjhe displaced students.
