AIR to extend 3.30 pm FM Headlines

Imphal, May 12 2024: Regional News Unit, All India Radio (RNU, AIR), Imphal on Sunday informed that the head office has agreed to extension of duration of the bulletin 3.30 pm FM Headlines from two to five minutes, so as to enable RNU include more news and reach the listeners.

A statement by RNU, AIR, Imphal informed that discussion with the Head of Office and Head of Programme of AIR Imphal has been held and both the officers had agreed to the proposal of the extension of the bulletin duration.

It requested the competent authority of NSD, AIR to convey approval for the extension.

No extra budget or financial expenses will be incurred on the conversion to five minute bulletin, it added.

It maintained that the RNU, Imphal has been airing four Manipuri FM Headlines having two minutes each beside three major Manipuri bulletins every day.

Apart from the bulletins, number of news based programmes, newsreels, district newsletters and special programmes are also broadcast regularly, it mentioned.
