Governor meets MNEDA team, releases book

Imphal, September 30 2024: Members of Manipur North Economic Development Association (MNEDA), Senapati called on Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Raj Bhavan, here on Monday.

In a release, Raj Bhavan PRO informed that the MNEDA delegation invited the Governor to attend the upcoming cultural and traditional food festival planned in first week of November this year.

They also highlighted the activities of the Association for Uplifting the socio-economic condition of the people mostly living in the hilly areas of Manipur.

The Governor, meanwhile, commended their efforts and wished them success in their future endeavours.

According to the PRO, the Governor also released a book titled 'The Winning Feet: Shoes of Olympic Sports' at Raj Bhavap on Monday.

The book has been published by the Department of Sports Medicine of Regional Institute, of Medical Sciences (RIMS) .

Professor AK Joy Singh along with doctors of the department were present at the book release function, said the PRO, adding that the Governor appreciated work done by the department along with expressing confidence that as the first of its kind from Manipur, the will definitely help athletes choose the right type of shoes suitable to their sport discipline.
