SHRI organises free heart screening camp in Tripura

Shija Hospitals & Research Institute (SHRI) collaborated with National Health Mission, Tripura to organise a one-day "Free Congenital Heart Disease Screening Camp" at the District Hospital in Santribazar, South Tripura on Saturday.
Led by Dr Sidartha Lukram, consultant Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgeon at SHRI, a medical team conducted thorough medical examinations and provided free consultations, including echocardiograms, to 28 individuals.
During the camp, the medical team identified several cases necessitating specialised treatment.
These included procedures such as device closure for Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), open heart repair for large VSD, open heart repair for VSD with Pulmonary Stenosis (PS), and PDA closure.
Additionally, some patients were referred for undergoing CECT chest scan, while two individuals were recommended for BD Shunt procedures.
Shija Hospitals & Research Institute has been consistently organising free health camps in Manipur and neighbouring states, underscoring the hospital's commitment to extending excellent healthcare beyond its premises.
These initiatives aim to enhance accessibility to healthcare services for the public and underscore SHRI's dedication to promoting community health, said a statement.
