CAU Calendar and Kisan Diary launched

Imphal, April 05 2025: The Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal has launched the annual CAU Calendar and CAU Kisan Diary 2025 .

The calendar and diary contain valuable advice and articles from scientists and experts on agriculture, horticulture, veterinary issues, fishery etc that will be beneficial to farmers.

The launching event was held at the office of Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor, CAU, Imphal with the VC as the chief guest; Peter Salam, Director, Directorate of Agriculture; K Debadutta Sharma, Director, Directorate of Horticulture & Soil Conservation; Dr RK Khogendrajit Singh, Director, Directorate of Vety & AH Services; Professor Indira Sarangthem, registrar, CAU; Dr Lalita M Gamayak, Director, Directorate of research, CAU; Dr Tilak Raj Sharma, Registrar, CAU, Imphal; Dr PT Sharma, Comptroller, CAU, Imphal and Professor Ng Iboyaima Singh, Dean, College of Food Tech, Imphal, CAU, Imphal as the guests of honour and Professor Ph Ranjit Sharma, Director, Directorate of Extension Education, CAU, Imphal as the functional president.

Speaking in this connection, Ph Ranjit Sharma shared that the CAU Calendar and Kisan Diary 2025 were launched after the Directorate of Extension Education, CAU edited the contributions made by the faculty members and scientists from the 13 constituent colleges, 6 Krishi Vigyan Kendra, 6 MTTC and 6 VTC under the supervision of the CAU, Vice-Chancellor.

He added that the CAU Calendar and Kisan Diary were first launched in 2011 in seven different regional languages of the North East.
