Kakching MLA arranges public-police meet

Kakching, July 14 2024: Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar facilitated a meeting of public and security personnel at Pallel Maning Leikai community hall on Saturday to dis cuss security situation in the area.

The meeting presided over by the MLA was attended by Kakching SP Thokchom Vikramjit, Tengnoupal SP Rahul Gupta, Kakching police station OC T Rameshwar, Pallel police station OC Elangbam Romio, Kakching district police commando OC Soraisam Birla, and representatives of clubs and meira paibi groups of Pallel.

On their part, the public observed that the situation has improved to some extent after the September 8, 2023 incident in which two persons were killed, but expressed apprehension that unwanted incidents might recur.

They also pressed for effective security measures to facilitate resumption of agricultural activities in farmlands which the local farmers dread to access since outbreak of the violence.

Having recorded the people's complaints and grievances, Kakching and Tengnoupal SPs assured stringent security steps to prevent unwanted incidents in Pallel with MLA Rameshwar too announcing to strive for addressing problems faced by the peo ple of Pallel as well as periodically hold meeting with them to expedite return of normalcy in Pallel.
