Imphal, March 10 2025: The Executive Committee Meeting of All Manipur Mid-Day Meal Workers' Union (MDMWUM) was held today at its office premises in Paona Bazar, Imphal.

The meeting was presided over by MDMWUM president Maibam Jamuna Devi.

As per a release issued by MDMWUM, the meeting resolved to demand the Government to increase the monthly honorarium, provide social security including pension to Mid-Day Meal workers and payment of pending honorarium for 23 months before the Yaoshang Festival.

The meeting also decided to convene the 5th State Conference of the Union on March 23, 2025 at Kiyamba Shanglen, Bishnupur district.

Later, a delegation led by Mid-Day Meal Workers' Union, joint secretary Athokpam Manglemba met the Nodal Officer of Mid-Day Meal at Education (S) office and apprised him about their demands.

The Nodal Officer assured the delegation that the Govt is taking steps to increase the honorarium and release the pending honorarium payment for some months at the earliest.
