Imphal, May 05 2009: The Department of Agitation and Propaganda, Manipur State Council Communist Party of India (CPI) has organized the 191st birth anniversary of Karl Marx today at Irawat Bhavan.

State Secretary of CPI, Dr M Nara, Comrade L Iboyaima, MLA H Borajao, Comrade Sarat Salam Comrade Manoranjan and Comrade Gyanendra took part as the presidium members of the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Health and Family Welfare Minister Ph Parijat expressed that the state will be able to attain peace and development if each and every person in the state follow the principle of Karl Marx.

Karl Marx had awakened the people by deeply analyzing the reason for why the laborers are becoming poorer day by day while the industrialists are becoming richer day by day.

Marx fought against the atrocities of Capitalists upon the laborers which weakened the health of the working class.

Dr Moirangthem Nara expressed that some people's belief that socialism has vanished from the society but does not accept that social justice has vanished from the society.

What people should know is that until and unless there is social justice, socialism will always prevail and people should apply Marxism to strengthen socialism.

The current social identity is quite disturbed and there is a need to rectify the election processes practiced in the society as the ruling party is simply doing according to their will.

He said that if the third front party is destined to make a government in the state, the wrong practice of election process will definitely be rectified.

The current turmoil in the Andro Constituency is an attempt to hide mischief.

CPI had never blamed the people of Andro.

People should ask the party who had rigged the votes of innocent voters of the constituency to clarify to the voters who were deprived of their voting right on the day of election rather than boycotting CPI from the constituency and asking for CPI to clarify to the people of Andro.
