ALT assembly prioritises education

Imphal, July 14 2024: Anal Lenruwl Tangpi - General Headquarters (ALT-GHQ) held its 2nd Federal Assembly for the 2023-2026 tenure on Saturday at Beru Unopat village mini auditorium in Chakpikarong sub-division under Chandel district with focus on enhancing the educ ational system in the district.

Organised by ALT Western Valley Branch with participation of over 100 representatives of various units and clubs affiliated to the union, assembly resolved to continue visiting schools within its jurisdiction to monitor attendance of both teachers and students, emphasis on unity among all federating units for the welfare of Anal Naga community, particularly students, organise a general conference of the union, etc.

During the assembly, Rd Alex of Lamphoupasna, Lh Chand, and Bs Warthangam of Panchai villages were inducted as speaker, deputy speaker, and deputy secretary of assembly affairs, respectively.

The session was chaired by the newly inducted speaker with pro-tem speaker Sr Antung officiating the inductions while ALT-GHQ general secretary Kt Zachariah presented an overview of the union's work and achievements over the past year.

The assembly was also attended by Union's executive members and representatives of Anal Sinnu Ruwl, ANTA, ANSAM vice-president Wilpelngam Nula, NSUC president Ruwnglar Elly Anal, and former ATSUM general secretary Sr Andria, with most of them sharing their personal ideas and suggestions.
