NIT-M holds seminar on Viksit Bharat-Emerging Northeast

National Institute of Technology, Manipur (NIT Manipur) organised a one-day seminar cum panel discussion on Viksit Bharat-Emerging Northeast at the institute on Thursday.
The discourse was aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and innovation among students and faculty members while discussing the role of the Northeast in India's development journey.
Informing this, a statement of NIT Manipur stated that chief secretary Prashant Kumar Singh attended the event as chief guest while NIT registrar Prof Khumakcham Tomba and IIM Shillong BOG member and Chairman of Amazing Namaste Foundation, Atul Chandrakant Kulkarni were the resource persons.
Prof Kh Tomba, in his welcome address, highlighted the significance of such programmes in fostering inteb-lectual growth within the institute.

Atul Chandrakant Kulkarni emphasised the importance of technological interven -tion and the critical role of youth in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 .
He also stressed the need for contributions from students of technical institutes like NITs in transforming India into a developed nation.
PK Singh delivered an insightful speech, underscoring the immense potential of engineering students in driving innovation.
Being an engineer himself, he spoke about the rapid technological advancements shaping the world and assured his commitment to enhancing infrastructural development at NIT Manipur.
The seminar featured a panel discussion with Atul Chandrakant Kulkarni as the key speaker, moderated by dean (R&C) Prof Aheibam Dinamani Singh, and assistant professor Dr W Vandana Devi.
The discussion focused on the Northeast's contribution to Viksit Bharat 2047, highlighting how technology can revolutionise healthcare, enhance rural-urban connectivity, and foster economic growth.
Students and attendees were encouraged to contribute actively to technological advancements and nation-building efforts, Reinforcing the vision of a progressive and self-reliant India, added the statement.
