Source: Chronicle News Service

Kakching, December 18 2021: While informing that the BJP government in the state has received three awards /trophies for good governance, fast-paced development and improvement in agricultural sector; chief minister N Biren remarked that a certain political party holding the tag of fake encounter government, cannot bear to hear/learn about achievements of the ruling government, let alone mentioning the name of the awards.

He further credited winning of the awards/trophies to the people's trust upon BJP and as such, assured that the party will continue to work in accordance with the people's wishes.

The CM made the statement during political conference of BJP held in connection with the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election at Langmeidong Public Ground of Hiyanglam AC and Sugnu Public Ground of Sugnu AC respectively on Saturday.

In both the events, CM Biren said that after the BJP government came to power, the law-and-order situation in the state and the relationship between the hill and the valley people have improved significantly.

The poor people, vulnerable and weaker sections of the society now have a roof over their heads not to mention of access to various benefits and welfare schemes including affordable health care alongside the general populace.

Stating that all of the aforementioned are due to the people's wise decision taken in the last elections, Biren urged for concerted efforts in bringing about a BJP only government in the state.

He then mentioned Hiyanglam Wabagai Lamkhai Ima Keithel and added that efforts will be made to complete it before the Election Code of Conduct is enforced.

He also urged against spreading misinformation regarding setting up of another Sangai sanctuary in Pumlen pat, while clarifying that no such project exist at present.

The CM also assured of repairing the stretch of road from Wabagai Lamkhai to Sugnu at the earliest.

Further stating that BJP is the only party which can keep the state safe for the future generations, Biren highlighted the consideration ofthe central leaders towards the state such as implementation of ILPS, renaming of Mt Harriet in Andaman & Nicobar Islands as Mt Manipur, and others.

As such, Manipur will truly live up to its name of 'Sana Leibak' if a BJP-only government were to come to power in the state, he contended.

Biren then urged all intending BJP candidates to continue extending support to the ones who manages to get the party ticket.

In her speech, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi countered Congress' observations of union ministers not announcing any packages or development works for the state, stating that the itinerary of the union ministers during Congress government only consisted of a visit to Moreh.

BJP leaders, however, are visiting all the districts in the state, she maintained.

Works minister Thongam Biswajit also mentioned about improvement in the law-and-order situation of the state and the relationship between the hills and the valley under the CM Biren-led state BJP government.

PM Narendra Modi has also done many things for the country including production of Covid-19 vaccine within 9 months and administration of the same across the country.
