Imphal, February 08 2026: The Enat Yokhatpa Luptin (EYOL) organised a public meeting at Eastern Students Club (ESC) Nongmeibung Community Hall today to address the growing incorporation of extravagant and non-traditional practices in religious and cultural ceremonies, particularly weddings.

The meeting aimed to familiarise people with the resolutions taken in EYOL's August 10, 2024 conference organised at City Convention Centre, Imphal.

The participants of the meeting took a collective resolution to promote simple and meaningfill rituals rooted in Manipur's rich cultural legacy.

ESC Nongmeibung president Wahengbam Ishwarchandra, Citizens Club president Naorem Mahendra and EYOL president Th Ibohal attended the meeting among others.
