AR organises medical camp; friendly volleyball match

Imphal, April 05 2025:
Assam Rifles organised a free medical camp at Haika village, Chandel district on April 3 extending medical facilities to the residents of Haika and neighbouring villages.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the health experts at the camp offered consultations and provisioned medicines to the needy.
A total of 96 patients, including 32 women and 48 children were examined.
Local residents were also educated on precautions against malaria, diarrhoea and other seasonal ailments, it added.
Meanwhile, in its continued effort to foster goodwill and strengthen coordination among security forces and the local populace, AR organised a friendly volleyball match with police personnel and locals of Shangshak village at Shangshak, Ukhrul district, another release by PRO IGAR (S) said.
The release continued that the event aimed at promoting sportsmanship, camaraderie, and enhancing civil-police-military cooperation in the region.
The match witnessed participation from the police personnel, troops of AR and youths of Shangshak village.
The friendly match served as a platform to build mutual trust and understanding among the different stakeholders responsible for maintaining peace and harmony in the region, it added.
