Nokphade team stages street play

Imphal, November 20 2025: The Zonal Education Officer, Zone II, Imphal East and Samagra Shiksha (Elementary) jointly organised a street play on "Community Mobilisation and Media Activities at District Level" staged by Nokphade Association.

The play was performed at Porompat Sabal Leikai High School, Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai.

The event was attended by the Government and aided school teachers and students under ZEO-Zone II .

Speaking at the event, Neeksy Huidrom, State Coordinator, Community Mobilisation School Management Committee said that as per the Right To Education Act, all Government and aided schools should have a Management Committee.

In order to help teachers, parents and local clubs produce good students, schools should be registered in the "Vidyanjali" portal and facilitate the initiation of various beneficial activities.

The street play was organised to spread awareness about this matter, she added.

Students, teachers and a headmaster are not the only necessary requirements to set up a school.

The role and contributions of parents and the local community is also very important, she said.

She highlighted the need for people to be aware of the initiatives undertaken by the Government under Samagra Shiksha and the importance of developing Government schools to produce good students.
