ZUF welcomes Guangduanreipou Kamei

Imphal, August 20 2021: Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has warmly welcomed sergeant Guangduanreipou Kamei who returned to ZUF after getting frustrated with the gang led by Jenchui Kamei and Aihong Remroi, said an outfit's release issued by ministry of information and publicity secretary Hozam Thaimai.

The secretary also expressed heartfelt appreciation for the bold step Guangduanreipou Kamei had taken to return to the mainstream Zeliangrong organisation.

"His homecoming today after realising that ZUF continues to strive for the future of the Zeliangrong people unlike the gang he was serving is a positive indication that many more brothers will come back home shortly," said Hozam and recounted that services of Jenchui Kamei and Aihong Remroi were terminated and expelled a few years ago by the ZUF government for selling its arms to the adversaries.

He also accused Jenchui and Aihong of orchestrating frequent attacks on oil tankers and trucks carrying essential commodities along NH-37 and other roads connecting the Jiribam and Imphal, threatening local contractors for percentage of the fund meant for developmental works especially in Noney and Tamenglong district, illegal taxation and extortion on various companies and enterprises engaged in National Projects like the Indian Railway and ADB funded National Highways.

The recent assassination bid on one Manipur government officer (SDO, Noney) and threatening leaders of the Zeliangrong civil organisations are testament that their evil intent is not only getting their own pocket money, having unholy nexus with some unscrupulous local politicians and organisations but they will continue to create unrest in the region with extreme steps of killing leaders and anybody who is voicing against their evil schemes, Hozam contended.

"It is once again reminded the defected leaders and cadres of the armed gang to stop their crimes and stop using the organisation's name immediately or else they will face the harshest punitive action from the Zeliangrong United Front", Hozam cautioned.

Sending a message to all wayward cadres who are still with the expelled leaders to come to their sense that no Zeliangrong organisation or public is/are with them, the secretary said that the cadres should return home likewise when the time is right and when they can receive them.
