7 Bills introduced; Guv gives assent to 17 Bills

Imphal, August 20 2021:
On the first day of Monsoon Session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly on Friday, the government introduced seven Bills along with informing the House of the Governor's assent to 17 other Bills that were earlier passed by the Assembly.
Chief minister N Biren Singh introduced 'The Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021' and 'The Manipur Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021' while deputy chief minister and finance in- charge Y Joykumar Singh tabled 'The Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Third Amendment) Bill, 2021' and 'The Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2021' followed by law & legislative affairs, labour & employment minister Th Satyabrata placing 'The Manipur Legislature (Removal of Disqualifications) (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur (Courts) (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021' and 'The Manipur Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Bill, 2021' .
Assembly secretary also intimated the members of the 17 Bills approved by the Governor.
The Bills are 'The Manipur Appropriate (No 1) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Appropriate (No 3) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Appropriate (No 2) Bill, 2021'; 'The Asian International University, Manipur Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Third Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Private Universities Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Liquor Prohibition (Third Amendment Bill) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Legislature (Removal of Disqualifications) (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Public Services Delivery Guarantee Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Industrial Single Window Clearance Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Official Language (Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'The Court Fees (Manipur Amendment) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Oil Palm (Regulation of Production and Processing) Bill, 2021'; 'The Manipur Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland (Amendment) Bill, 2021' and 'The Manipur State Planning Authority Bill, 2021'.N Biren also presented the Sixteenth Report of the Business Advisory Committee, 2021 and moved the motion for allocation of time proposed by the Committee which was adopted by the House.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Committee on Privileges and Ethics chairman K Robindro Singh presented the Thirty-Fifth Report of the Committee while Committee on Government Assurances Th Radheshyam Singh presented the Nineteenth Report of the Committee during the assembly session.
