Imphal, September 30 2024:
COCOMI Students' Front said that the abduction Of three youths while going for SCC recruitment exam on September 27 by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists was an act of terrorism though one among them had been released.
If the demand made by the captors to exchange the two youths with Mark T Haokip, who is in the custody of NIA for challenging India's sovereignty and attempting to distort territorial integrity of Manipur, happens to be true, what is the logic of Union home minister, security advisor (SA) and DGP Manipur in remaining as muted spectators till today, questioned the Front.
Abducting the three youths with relative ease despite presence of large number of security forces and no attempt made to trace whereabouts of the two even after report of the abduction are glaring example of security agencies' inability to protect lives and properties of the people.
This incident also exemplifies government of India's uncaring of Meetei community and continuous siding with Kuki militants, COCOMI Students' Front alleged adding that security advisor and DGP must be responsible if anything undesirable happens to the kidnapped youth.
The anger of the people will increase and may even snap limit of tolerance if government fails to effectively tackle terrorist acts of Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists, the Front said and cautioned that people may vent their anger on elected representatives if they do not unite and mount pressure to government of India collectively.
