Meeyamgi Numit, Hill Leaders' Meet held across state

Imphal, July 15 2022: As in other districts, Meeyamgi Numit' was organised by respective district administration in Imphal East and Jiribam districts on Friday.

District administration of Imphal East organised Meeyamgi Numit' at Panchayat Bhavan, DC Office Complex, Porompat which was attended by district level officers (DLOs) of various departments.

In Jiribam district, the event aimed at addressing grievances of the public was held at the DC's office complex at Chingdong Leikai.

DLOs of various departments attended the programme and heard the complaints of Jiribam denizens along with providing various services.

Addressing a press meet in the presence SP Ksh Ravikumar and other DLOs, deputy commissioner W Malemngan-ba Chenglei stated that after registration of applicants, DLOs addressed the issues related to old age pension, horticulture & agriculture, PMJAY, CMHT, etc., on the spot.

The day will be held in the district on every third Friday of the month, he added.

THOUBAL: The district administration on Friday organised 'Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day)' at the Counting Hall of DC office Complex where DC A Subhash Singh heard grievances of the people and instructed the department officials for necessary action.

He informed that 25 stalls of different departments including fishery, ICDS, MSPDCL, police, veterinary, chief medical officer and food safety administration among others were opened to meet the demand of the public.

During the programme, around 117 written applications were received related to grievances on CMHT card, old age pension/widow pension and agriculture related issues The day also saw a young boy from Wangbal coming to apply for old age pension scheme cards for his paternal grandparents while another boy came to get his birth certificate.

SP Jogeshchandra Haobi-jam, CMO Dr Y Nokul, additional district magistrate Lokeshor Brahmacharimayum, all sub-divisional officers and other district level officers from different departments attended the programme to address the grievances of the public.

CHURACHANDPUR: The district administration launched its District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit at DTC Hall, Tuibong, on Friday.

As a part of the programme, different departments such as social welfare, health, IT, agriculture, education, CF&PD and horticulture distributed materials to the identified beneficiaries.

One written application was received and the same was addressed on the day itself.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Sharat Chandra Arroju sought cooperation of the public in tackling and solving traffic problem, drug men ace and sanitation problem of the town areas as highlighted by different CSOs.

He also instructed the police department and ADC to help in addressing the problems.

Public leaders, village chiefs, CSO leaders, DLOs from different departments and a large number of people took part in the event.

Churachandpur district will organise 'Meeyamgi Numit' and Hill Leaders' Day on the 3rd Friday every month to attend to the grievances of the public.

CHANDEL: The first ever District Hill Leaders' Day and the Meeyamgi Numit for Chandel district was launched by the DC Rajkumar Mayangalmbam at the Mini Secretariat complex here on Friday.

During the programme, the deputy commissioner interacted with the village leaders and listened to their grievances one by one.

More than 22 applications of various issues related to developmental works and others were received.

Different departments like health, social welfare, agriculture, etc., also rendered services to the denizens while around 50 people were administered Covid-vaccine doses by the CMO team.

Department of Tribal Affairs & Hills also distributed planting materials to the beneficiaries.

The day's programme was attended by ADC Md Firoj Khan, SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.

Addressing media persons, the DC said that the programme is an initiative of chief minister Biren Singh to reach out to the people of state to redress their problems related to government's various programmes.

He also informed that grievances related to road, social sector schemes like old age pension and others were received and addressed during the event, apart from one handloom card handed over to the beneficiary.

The event will be held every 3rd Friday of the month and if the 3rd Friday happens to be general holiday, it will be held on 3rd Thursday.

A dedicated Meeyamgi Numit cell, a grievance redressal for citizens, on Whatsapp with cell number 9863554329 and email ID - [email protected] has also been created.

The programme was attended by SDOs, DLOs, public leaders, village chairmen and secretaries.

BISHNUPUR: The district administration organised Meeyamgi Numit at Panchayat Resource Centre Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex on Friday.

As many as 100 persons turned up with documents to apprise district authorities of their concerns and requirements.

DC Lourembam Bikram and DLOs addressed the grievances of the public on the spot itself.

Addressing the public, the DC encouraged the people to freely express their concerns during the Meeyamgi Numit and informed that will be held on the 3rd Friday of every month.

Schemes like CMHT, old age pension and differently-abled benefits featured prominently among the matters brought up on the day at the district level Meeyamgi Numit.

Various other concerns like land conversions and settlements, farmers' card, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, MGNREGS were also addressed in the event.

A dedicated "Meeyamgi Numit" cell has been constituted with additional DC H Bobby Sharma as coordinator and AC to DC Ejaj Hassan as assistant coordinator.

A dedicated email ID "[email protected]" has been opened where one can send their grievances or through WhatsApp number 9612122811 .

TAMENGLONG: Tamenglong district organised "Meeyamgi Numit" and "Hill Leaders Day" at the conference hall of old DC complex, Tamenglong district headquarters.

DC Pawan Yadav, CEO ADC Ningreingam Leisan, and SDO Paul Nangsha attended the programme.

Pawan Yadav during his speech said that "Meeyamgi Numit" (People's day) initiated by chief minister N Biren is a grievance redressal mechanism for the general public and to submit their suggestions to the government departments.

He added that the main objective is to make the government citizen-centric, proactive and programme implementation effective.

As per the office memorandum of the DC, every 3rd Friday of a month will be earmarked as the "Meeyamgi Numit" and "Hill Leaders Day" and in case if the 3rd Friday happens to be a general holiday or public holiday, then the next working day will be organised as "Meeyamgi Numit" and "Hill Leaders Day" .

Meanwhile, CEO ADC Ningreingam Leisan and SDC Bui-heimliu have been named as district coordinator and assistant coordinator respectively to monitor any grievances sent by the public through Whatsapp number 7641812082 or email address - [email protected].

As many as 20 departments took part in the day's Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders Day.
