Career prospects in hospitality

Classic Hospitality Training Institute (CHTI) organised a one-day seminar on career prospects in hospitality industry at the hotel today.
Tourism Department Director Shyam Lal Poonia, Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council CEO Praveen Roy and CHTI Managing Director Dr Th Dhabali attended the opening function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Shyam Lal Poonia while speaking at the function said that hospitality sector has a huge potential to enhance the State's economy.
He said that youth of the State are talented and they would do good in this sector as well.
Stating that personality grooming is one of the important aspects of hospitality related courses, he expressed hope that the participants would learn some significant points of personality development from the seminar as well.
Dr Dhabali in his speech said that a large number of educated youth are still jobless in the State and as such self employment is the only answer to this ever escalating employment problem.
He said that private entrepreneurs must also generate employment to reduce this problem at their level.
Dr Dhabali said that CHTI is running different short term diploma courses on hospitality management.
Manipal City and Guilds NE region sales head Rajesh Ratnam and CHTI head Kh Ranjita presented papers at the seminar.
