BJP leader Tapir Gao demands disqualification of MSCP MLAs

Tapir Gao, the National General secretary of the BJP in charge of the Northeastern region has demanded the disqualification of the 5 Manipur State Congress Party MLAs whose cases are pending before the tribunal.
Speaking in a pre-election meeting for the party member Kh Joykishan a disqualified MLA Gao said that if the three Trinamool Congress MLAs were disqualified last month by the tribunal there is no reason why the five MSCP MLAs should not be disqualified.
He said that an explanation has to be made to the people why these 5 MSCP MLAs who had joined the ruling Congress should be spared while the TMC MLAs were axed.
He said that the TMC MLAs were disqualified under the provisions of the 10th schedule and the same is applicable on the MSCP MLAs.

The state unit president Thounaojam Chaoba also attacked the government in the same line.
He also said that the state unit BJP does not support the strike and blockade called by some organisations in the state ahead of the great June uprising.
He also slammed education minister Moirangthem Okendra.
He said that the minister had promised to bring about a game change in the education sector.
But instead of doing anything the minister is no more interested in the food and civil supplies department.
Joykishan who was one of the three TMC MLAs who were disqualified said that the ruling Congress makes no secret of the fact that it has 42 MLAs in the sixty member House and there is no death of election fund.
Under the circumstances the party shall win all elections.
However he said that he does not have money but the love of the people.
There were rousing appreciation of the people.
Though time schedule of the by polls is not announced BJP is making preparation to win all the three seats.
More re election meetings are on the cards.
