Imphal, October 26 2026: Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL), Manipur has deeply mourned the untimely demise of renowned social activist, KKL advisor and scholar Longjam Munnindro.

Munnindro, who was residing at Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai, passed away on October 26, due to an illness.

In a release, KKL said Munnindro had been guiding the organisation for a long time as scholar and advisor.

His demise is a great loss not only for the Meetei community but for the entire Manipur, it added.

The organisation said without any bias, he travelled across Manipur and did many good works for the development of society.

He guided many youths of Lup and gave valuable advice and leadership.

The Lup announced that it will establish a library in the name of scholar Longjam Munnindro to carry forward his cherished ideals.
