State Board for Wildlife lauds

Imphal, May 24 2017:
State Board for Wildlife has today lauded the
Forest Department and villages of Tamenglong district for their
tremendous work in protecting Amur Falcon.
In its 6th board meeting which was presided by Chief
Minister N Biren, State Board for Wildlife said that the relentless
work undertaken by the Forest Department, people of
Bhalok village and other neighbouring villages to save the
migratory birds is commendable.
During the meeting which was also attended by Forest
Minister Th Shyamkumar and 22 members of State Board for
Wildlife, 10-point agenda was discussed.
The meeting also
resolved to recommend State Board for Wildlife in order to
allot land for construction of Moreh bypass and an alternate
alignment along National Highway-39.
The meeting also resolved to invite villagers and discuss
ways to conserve Yawa Lamjao, Laipham Phumlak and
Pumlen Pat.
