Rhythms of Manipur conducts music demonstration programme

Imphal, March 10 2025: As part of its continuing lecturer demonstration programme on music at educational institutions, the Rhythms of Manipur conducted a folk music demonstration at Promising Academy, Sagolband Tera Loukham Leirak today.

During the programme, musicians of the Rhythms of Manipur displayed national award winning music composition "Dancing Drummers" and State song "Sanaleibak Manipur" .

The programme commenced with the introduction about the group and objective of the initiative by Rajkumar Sanatomba Singh, founder member & secretary of Rhythms of Manipur.

After the demonstration, students and teachers of the Academy played the Langden drums and other musical instruments.

Notably, the Rhythms of Manipur have been conducting lecturer demonstration programmes at various institutions for the last many years.

In November 2024, lecturer demonstration programmes were held at Jovial Bellona English School, Irom Meijrao and SV Getwell School, Haotal.

Promising Academy chairman Ratankumar appreciated the initiative taken by the Rhythms of Manipur to spread music awareness at schools.

He also expressed desire to host the group again at the Academy.
