PREPAK celebrates 47th raising day

The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) reportedly celebrated its 47th raising day on Wednesday together with indigenous people of both hills and valley of the land.
According to a statement of PREPAK, the anniversary celebration of the Party was held at its central headquarters (CHQs), general headquarters (GHQ ), 707 mobile battalion, base area-1, CNA, base area-2, ELAND, base area-3, BDESH, base area-4, NPL, training centre (TC), mobile battalion-1 and mobile battalion-2 and others.
The celebration function at CHQ held with interim council chairman Aheiba Angom as chief guest and charge d' affairs publicity and propaganda Leibaak Ngaakpa as president commenced with unfurling of party's flag.
The simple celebration function at GHQ was attended Red Army chief of army staff (CAS) Romi Meitei as chief guest and charge d' affairs' medical & family welfare Chamba as president while Red Army's GSO-2 Rocky was guest of honour.
Unfurling of party's flag, gun salute to martyred comrades and speeches by dignitaries were the highlight of the celebration function.
The celebration at 707 mobile battalion of Red Army located at united base area was attended by NSCN/GPRN chairman Yung Aung as chief guest, Red Army's base area secretary Langamba as president with camp commander Md Pakkish and four leaders of different revolutionary groups of WESEA taking part at the guests of honour.
The celebration function at base area-1, CNA was attended by regional officer Mangai, base area-2, ELAND by core committee member Irikkhomba, base area-3, BDESH by regional officer Nganba, base area-4, NPL by regional officer Achouba, and at M 3 by regional officer Yaifaba as chief guest, the PREPAK statement issued by publicity officer Mangal Khuman added.
As part of the 47th raising day celebration, kitchen and edibles items like rice, potato, onion, garlic, cooking oil, and stationery items were presented to residents of children and orphanage centres, old age homes and relief camps under the aegis of district commanders of outfit.
