AMMSO inspects Islamic English Higher Sec School

Of the three private schools which an organisation insisted in a written application to the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (CoHSEM) to cease operation with the matter reported in the media, All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO) inspected Islamic English Higher Secondary School, Lilong on Thursday.
In a statement, AMMSO informed that the Lilong school established in 1987 as The Islamic English School, has been consistently producing meritorious students, consequently enlisted as an examination centre by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) and upgraded to a higher secondary level after thorough discussions by the school management committee, considering lack of higher secondary schools with adequate infrastructure in Lilong area, except for the Lilong Higher Secondary School Madrassa.
During the inspection, it was found that there was no record of Islamic English Higher Secondary School attached to other schools to facilitate its students appear in the Class XII exam.
The release further informed that during the inspection, school authorities revealed to the AMMSO team that the organisation which complained to the CoHSEM and imposed the ban on The Islamic English Higher Secondary-School made no physical visit of inspection the school.
As such, considering the existing infrastructure and dedication of the teachers, there is hope that the school will be much sought after by the community, AMMSO stated while affirming that they will continue to monitor the school to ensure it produces students of merit.
