Stress management workshop held

The Manipur Police Training College (MPTC) in Pangei, in collaboration with Shija Hospitals, conducted a one-day awareness training programme on "Stress Management: Psychological Wellbeing and Mental Health Awareness" today.
The event, held at the Conference Hall, MPTC, Pangei, was organised for police personnel ranging from Constable to Head Constable, with over 20 participants in attendance.
The programme aimed to enhance awareness, reduce the stigma associated with mental health, and strengthen the capacity of police personnel to effectively manage stress and related psychological challenges encountered during their duties.
The sessions featured two key speakers from Shija Hospitals: Dr Meesha Haorongbam, Consultant Psychiatrist, addressed the topic of "Stigma and Support: Mental Health and its Impact on Police Work" while Nidhibala Athokpam, Consultant Clinical Psychologist, covered "Understanding Stress and Psychological First Aid".
The initiative provided valuable insights and practical tools for the participants to prioritize their psychological well-being.
